Engineering Undergraduate student awarded Critical Language Scholarship

Biological engineering student Josh Donaldson was recently awarded the highly coveted Critical Language Scholarship (CLS), an overseas language and cultural immersion program available to students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities.

2024 Award for Academic Distinction recipients announced

The University of Missouri recently announced 12 recipients of the 2024 Award for Academic Distinction. It is one of the highest honors MU offers based on academic distinction alone. Two engineering students were among the honorees.

Praveen Rao Mizzou Engineering’s Praveen Rao has received a 2024 Outstanding Reviewer Award from the 40th Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE).

Dale Klein and William “Bill” Baker were on campus to receive the 2024 Jefferson Club Golden Quill Alumni Excellence Award, one of Mizzou's highest honors. Krishnaswamy earns CAREER Award for taking on the challenge of hidden hunger

More than 2 billion people suffer from hidden hunger, a form of malnutrition where individuals lack essential micronutrients — like vitamins and minerals — even though they consume what appears to be an adequate amount of calories. University of Missouri researcher Kiruba Krishnaswamy is focused on tackling this global challenge. She recently received a five-year, $532,000 Early Career Development (CAREER) award from the National Science Foundation (NSF) — the NSF’s most prestigious award for early-career faculty — in support of her project titled “FEAST (food ecosystems and circularity for sustainable transformation) framework to address hidden hunger.”

The awards were given at the 2024 International Association for Dental Research (IADR) General Session and Exhibition, which was held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR).
