Mizzou Engineer solving complex problems during internship at Arm
A Mizzou Engineering student is conducting an internship this summer at Arm, a leading semiconductor and software design company. Specifically, Arun George Zachariah is designing frameworks to optimize the complex workloads involved in infrastructure research using multi-core Arm processors.

MAE alumnus to be professor at Hong Kong university
Research assistant professor Yangyang Chen Yangyang Chen, a research assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, will begin his faculty career at a world-renowned institution. He is going to the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), rated the 56th best university in the world in 2021, according to Times Higher Education. “I’m very glad to have this opportunity to work at a top university in the world and to further my career”, he said. Chen, PhD ‘17, explained that HKUST is like most universities in the United States. It is a four-year research institution with very similar regulations.

Torq ‘N Tigers win five performance categories at international event
Members of the Torq ‘N Tigers team at the competition in Peoria, Illinois. Mizzou’s Torq ’N Tigers team took first place in five categories at the 2021 International 1/4 Scale Tractor Student Design Competition. Members of the team design and build a tractor each year for the competition. This year, they placed first in durability, low hook 1100-pound class, high hook 1100-pound class, low hook 1600-pound class and high hook 1600-pound class. IMSE Capstone Projects – Spring 2021
