Creating Her Own Path

Emily Pagel, BS IE '19, is putting her industrial engineering degree to work as a technology consultant for Rockwell Automation in Denver. There, she helps with implementation, troubleshooting product migrations and creating projects for clients.

Expanding Beyond the Familiar

Industrial engineering alumna Maggie Fields, BS IE ‘19, strives to not be afraid of the unfamiliar, whether at her current job with Collins Aerospace or while she attended Mizzou. That will come in handy this June when Fields takes on a new role at Collins.

Mizzou Engineering Alumnus Part of Naval Team Studying Impact of UV Light on COVID-19

For his thesis project at Mizzou Engineering, Brett Huhman ’03, ’06, developed a method to use ultraviolet (UV) light to combat anthrax. While it was timely in the early 2000s, Huhman admits he never thought he’d return to that research. Then came COVID-19. Now, Huhman is part of a U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) team analyzing how well ultraviolet light sources can combat the coronavirus.

An Engineer Among the Stars

This winter, graduating seniors will hear from a Mizzou alumnus who has seen the Earth from a unique vantage point: 200 to 330 miles above the planet aboard the U.S. Space Shuttle.

Craig Lalumandier

Commencement speaker’s Mizzou ties run deep

If there were a competition for Mr. Mizzou among alumni, Craig Lalumandier would have to be on a shortlist of finalists. So when he was asked to come home to Mizzou to give a commencement address for Mizzou Engineering, Lalumandier didn’t hesitate to say yes.
