
Students showcase work at Science Center Day, held in early March
Les Burke, a student in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Carbondale, IL, took his love of racecars to St. Louis on March 7 as part of a group of 26 Mizzou Engineering students who showcased their work and research at the University of Missouri Science Center Day, held at the Saint Louis Science Center.

Tactile map near Jesse Hall invites inclusion
A new tactile map, created by MU's 3D Printing Club and installed near Jesse Hall is the first of its kind for MU. The map, unveiled Dec. 3 to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, features hard plastic versions of the buildings on the Northwest quadrant of campus, from McReynolds to Tate Hall.

More than 2,000 people visited the University of Missouri campus for its first Show Me Mizzou Day on Saturday, April 13, and many stopped by the wide array of activities and tables in and around the College of Engineering’s Lafferre and Neff Halls.

The National Society of Black Engineers Annual Convention is one of the highlights of the year for NSBE chapters nationwide. Mizzou Engineering’s chapter received lofty accolades and took advantage of networking opportunities at this year’s event.

Develop[Her] focuses on supporting women in computing
Develop[Her] recently held its first meeting, with more than 40 interested students coming to Lafferre Hall to learn more about the nascent organization. Develop[Her] currently is working through the process to become officially recognized by MU and the College according to founders and Mizzou Engineering students Jamie Flores, Madison Williams and Paul Orton.
