Overview
Mizzou Cloud & DevOps is a free, online learning platform that consists of an educational catalog of hands-on laboratory exercises based on various DevOps technologies, cloud platforms, and real-world applications. At the Mizzou Cloud & DevOps workshop, you will learn how to use the online learning platform and conduct various hands-on learning on trending technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins) for cutting-edge applications (e.g., container orchestration for video processing, cloud networking for cyber defense, edge computing for distributed workflows, data pipeline automation for knowledge discovery).
Expected Outcomes
The ultimate goal of the workshop is to get students excited about Cloud & DevOps and to provide guidance on how to get started with basics of accessing cloud infrastructure and tools, and how to integrate relevant technologies in real-world application use cases. Students after the workshop will obtain skills assessment based on their learning outcomes, and gain insights to apply the tools and technologies in other real-world application scenarios.
Workshop Instructors
The workshop is organized and led by Professor Prasad Calyam, faculty in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Director of Cyber Education, Research and Infrastructure Center (Mizzou CERI) and Greg L. Gilliom Professor of Cyber Security.
