When Baolin Deng, University of Missouri William Andrew Davidson Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and co-director of the Missouri Water Center, went off to college at China University of Geosciences, he dreamed of discovering hidden mines and treasures. Mizzou Engineering ambassadors are students who have loved their time at Mizzou so much that they choose to give back by representing the College. Each week, they lead tours of Lafferre Hall for future Tigers and their families. And throughout the semester they’ll take time on the weekends to speak with students and their families at Meet Mizzou Days or Mizzou Engineering events.

Jeff Haferkamp receives the James E. “Bud” Moulder Distinguished Alumni Award with Interim Dean Praveen Edara and President Choi. Jeff Haferkamp, B.S. ISE ’76, was honored with a James E. “Bud” Moulder Distinguished Alumni Award at Mizzou Engineering’s 2024 Awards Banquet on March 15. The award recognizes individuals who distinguish themselves in service to the College. Haferkamp has been a longtime supporter of the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Rollins receives MUEAO Citation of Merit Award for service to College, profession
Myron Rollins receives the MUEAO Citation of Merit Award with Interim Dean Praveen Edara and President Choi Myron Rollins, B.S. EE ’74, was honored with the Citation of Merit Award at Mizzou Engineering’s annual Award Banquet March 15. Mizzou Engineer leads synthesis to study safety roadway countermeasures
A Mizzou Engineer is leading a project to help determine what measures state departments of transportation (DOTs) are using to help keep motorists safe. Henry Brown, a research engineer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, is Principal Investigator on the synthesis, which is under the umbrella of the National Cooperative Highway Research Project (NCHRP). Findings are expected to be published by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine next year.
