A first-generation student from a small town in Southwest Missouri, Ashley Kemm is proud to be a Tiger. She grew up coming to Mizzou and fell in love with campus. And while here, she says she’s never felt unsupported thanks to the Tiger community.

The perfect mix of engineering and medicine: Forck earns biomedical engineering degree

Nate Forck says he’s proud to be a Tiger because of the people he works with and sees every day. His favorite Mizzou Engineering memory is hanging out with his classmates after thermodynamics exams. And his favorite parts about biomedical engineering is the variety of tech electives and the enthusiastic professors who teach them.

Mizzou Engineering celebrates graduates at December Commencement

More than 200 students graduated from Mizzou Engineering this past weekend. Interim Dean Praveen Edara joined Curator Robin Wenneker to confer degrees at the Saturday, Dec. 16, Commencement ceremony at the Hearnes Center.

Expanding expertise, Michelle Atkinson earns degree in electrical engineering

Michelle Atkinson decided to become an engineer after beginning her career as a registered nurse. She saw how electricity and technology were affecting the nursing field, and decided to go back to school to continue learning and asking questions about how technology is impacting the world.

Inspired by faculty, Sally Chen earns degree in biological engineering

When finalizing her college choice, Sally Chen combed through two university catalogs and noticed something different about Mizzou Engineering: the bioengineering electives were more robust and flexible. That, and the fact she's lived in Columbia since fifth grade, sealed her decision.

Jacob Dodge grew up in a household full of Tiger Pride. Both his mom and older brother are Mizzou alumni, but he didn't decide to become a Tiger until visiting Mizzou Engineering and learning about the traditions, opportunities and facilities at the College.

Building connections, Trent Foster earns electrical and computer engineering degree

Trent Foster has always had a passion for tinkering with technology. After graduation, the electrical and computer engineering major will move to Kansas City to start work as a software developer for Garmin.
