Accelerating materials discovery

Mizzou Engineers are partnering with Arizona State University, Brewer Science and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), to increase the efficiency of materials development by using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to model and test new materials. Mizzou's research is supported by a $1.87 million grant, sponsored by Arizona State University.

Mizzou Engineering team devises novel way to non-invasively monitor heart problems

In the future, people with heart problems may be able to monitor their condition from home, ensuring they are taking the appropriate type and amount of medicine. That’s because a Mizzou Engineering research team has devised a way to non-invasively assess whether a person’s heart is in balance with the circulatory system.
